Geo-Spatial Technician – YOH Contractor for Harris Corporation

Performed data manipulation and processing of imagery. Tasks included rectification, creating mosaics, tonal balancing, sheer correction, and QA/QC processes to ensure products were in conformance with client specifications. Used Microsoft Office Products, databases, and other software.

 

Enumerator/Assistant Crew Leader – US Census Bureau

Started as Assistant Crew Leader to coach and observe Enumerator's on their performance and application of training and procedures for collecting 2010 census data. Collected and reviewed time sheets and data sheets and acted as liaison for general communications between Field Supervisor/Crew Leader and Enumerators. Self-volunteered to be an Enumerator to gain hands-on experience collecting census data.

 

 

Musician / Entrepreneur / Student / Volunteer

Pursued a part-time music career to enhance creative output. Performed with bands and taught guitar and music theory to members. Sold a 2-minute jingle. Volunteer with the National Kidney Foundation in Brevard County, Florida since 2009.

 

Successfully pursued a TAA grant and attained re-training benefits for employees affected by lay-offs. Was a full-time student from 2003–2005 in a Geography and Environmental Studies program, with focus on spatial analyses utilizing different technologies. Class project highlights involved using image-processing software (IDRISI), applying various principles and techniques on multi-spectral bands and other images. Became proficient with ArcMap and ArcCatalog, utilized geodatabases, analyzed a GIS, and prepared maps in class projects.
